From the Editor

"Not a day goes by that a man doesn't have to choose between what he wants, and what he is afraid to lose"                                                                                                                   Robert Cray

In the still that follows the twenty minute baritone timber of of 14 men creating the universal sound "ohm" there is breathing and the moist sounds of Mother Nature, unaware of our doings as she washes away the cumulated residue of life to reveal the refreshed green of new growth.

Sheer

It's a longing I can't explain

Even to myself

for it has no practical foundation

cannot be rationalized

as we like to do in these times

But it gnaws away at me

in a taunting sort of way

Do you have what it takes?

to break away even more from the norm

in search of what most would call

just a romantic, even nostalgic pursuit

so tonight I walk the docks in search of a sheer

that would trigger in me that spirit

who's strength I must call on

to wage war against that small piece of self

who would prefer safe to passion
